• In the days before this meditation, I saw a dolphin from my room’s balcony during the trip. After staring at the vast ocean for days, the appearance of that lone dolphin seemed magical. Later, I learned from Doreen that those of us who were in Atlantis in a previous life have dolphins as Guardian Angels.
• On one of the shore excursions I received a message while floating off a beach in the Bahamas. The message was that I was an Atlantean in a previous life. “Welcome home,” I heard.
• During the meditation, I saw myself in Atlantis with my mother from this life. My feeling was that she was my mother then, too. I felt I was a judge in that lifetime. I cried uncontrollably throughout the whole meditation. There was this sense of relief of finally going back home that confirmed the message I had received while in the ocean earlier that same day.

In February 2012, I joined Doreen Virtue for her Angel Healing Retreat at Sea! I could say it was a dream come true, but the truth is I would have never even DREAMED of being a part of something like this. The Angels guided me to take this journey, all the pieces fell into place and I found myself boarding the ship thinking the purpose was to learn from Doreen in person in advance of launching Spirit Makeover. To my surprise, learning became secondary to the healing I received.

Doreen’s lectures aboard the ship were indeed informative, but it was the healing meditations that really rocked my world. During the first one, we were guided to ask for whatever physical or emotional healing we wanted. I asked for my pelvic bones to be healed so that I would be able to walk through my pregnancy. (I was two-months pregnant when I boarded the ship.) I saw Jesus in my mind’s eye healing my pelvic bones!

I also received an emotional healing I never would have expected. To my surprise, I nearly had a panic attack just walking into the room on the first day. I was happy to be there, so I didn’t understand this reaction. Then, I raised my hand to ask Doreen why I felt so much fear. I began by explaining that my intention was to start seeing clients as soon as I got back home. Her response was that the source of my fear had to do with a previous life-time in which I was burned at the stake for being a witch. I wasn’t too surprised by this response. I had heard her say before that many Lightworkers were Lightworkers in previous lifetimes, as well. And, many of us had suffered persecution because of it. It still didn’t quite make sense to me. I knew, however, that she was speaking the truth.

The next day I listened to a guided meditation by Doreen I happened to bring with me. It lead me to see two of my previous lives: one as a nun in Latin America in the 1600s and one as a healer in Ireland in the 1500s. The emotion I felt when asked to experience the last few moments of life in these two lifetimes was the same: regret that I had contributed to my own demise and was leaving people while they were still in need of my help. Now it made sense to me. I wasn’t afraid so much for my own life in choosing to become a professional Lightworker in this life as I was afraid that that choice would somehow bring harm to my family.

As Doreen says, they no longer burn people at the stake for being witches. Still, there is often bias, marginalization, name-calling, etc. that no parent would want their child subjected to because of their chosen profession. With the help of the Angels, I have faced this fear and will lean on them if ever I feel my children are experiencing any negative impact from my work. I have faith the Angels with guide and protect us all as I commit to a life of serving others in this Light-filled way.

The Archangel Gabriel first appeared to me in September of 2011 bringing the news that I was to have another child. At the time, I had two beautiful children and a husband who had little Interest In having a third. My husband and I felt truly blessed since we had suffered through four miscarriages by the time I had my second child, which I had assumed was my last.

I had spent years working privately with my ancestors and guides using Spirits based on the work of Allen Kardec. I was holding a spiritual mass (misa In Spanish) In which we pray to God, Jesus and Mary before asking the ancestors and guides for messages. This was only my third time to serve as a medium for a misa and I was nervous. So, I just sat listening and waiting when all of a sudden I heard a voice In my head ask: “Camille, don’t you see the Archangel Gabriel there next to you?”

In a flash, I saw In my mind’s eye the figure of a huge, glowing angel. It filled the tiny kitchen of my friend’s apartment from the countertop to the ceiling. Knowing nothing more than the names of a few Archangels, I stayed awake for hours that night researching Gabriel online. I read right past the description of Gabriel as one helps with conception, adoption and so forth. I focused Instead on his role In psychic development since that Is what I was doing when he appeared.

Soon after, Gabriel came to me, again. This time, she appeared during the reading of the Annunciation at church. As the scripture was read, I got chills and then, In my mind’s eye, saw Gabriel, along with Archangel Michael and Raphael floating above me. My attention was drawn to a part of the reading I don’t ever recall hearing before. “And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son In her old age: and this Is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be Impossible.” Tears began to roll down my cheeks as a knowing came over me. The Angels wanted me to hear Elisabeth’s story and know that the same was possible for me.

As I heard the last line of the reading, I knew also that the key to releasing my fears lay In Mary’s response to Gabriel. “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be It unto me according to thy word.” I knew I had to follow her example and fearlessly open my heart to the miracle God wanted to bestow upon me. After I had taken communion, Jesus himself appeared In my minds’ eye floating above me. It was a first. I was overwhelmed, but tried to maintain my composure as I listened to see If he would speak to me. “I come to give you the same news that Gabriel delivered to my mother. You will bear a son… He will be of true greatness.”

Two weeks later, on New Year’s Eve, Gabriel sent a message: “In one week.” I knew It was the day we would conceive. During the week that followed, I finally told my husband about the dreams and signs, but left out the day we were supposed to conceive. He was hesitant. After some soul searching and consulting Archangel Michael cards, he asked me—on the appointed day—If I was ready to make a baby. I said ‘yes.’

I am now expecting my third child.

The Archangel Gabriel came to me in September of 2011 with two unexpected messages. The first was that, although I was under the impression that my childbearing years were over, I would have a third child. The second, and maybe more surprising, was that I leave behind my career as a science writing and become a professional Lightworker.

At the time, I had spent 15 years re-discovering my true spiritual nature. I went from being a person with no spiritual practice to someone who regularly communicated with Spirit Guides & Departed Ancestors. Still, opening a practice, teaching classes or writing a book about spiritual-based personal transformation was not in my plans.

Once Gabriel arrived, all of that changed.

The first thing I had to decide was what unique gift I wanted to give others. Just using my abilities as a psychic and medium to connect with ancestors and guides did not seem like enough.

I thought about what would bring me joy. I decided that what I wanted to witness was the kind of personal transformation your see on TV makeover shows. I am not embarrassed to say that those moments when people realized their own self-worth or their own beauty always move me to tears. I knew the spiritual tools and knowledge I had gathered over the years could produce those kinds of transformational moments. And, just like teaching people to dress in the most flattering ways, the spiritual knowledge and tools I had to offer could help people create rich, spiritual lives. With the Angels as guides, I could help people transform every aspect of their personal lives for the better.

I was still mulling over this possibility when I had a vision: “SpiritMakeover.com” surrounded by angel wings.

The idea and logo for Spirit Makeover were born.
